Aquaponic is the combination of aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (cultivating plants without soil). In aquaponic, water containing nutrients generated from fish farming is a source of natural fertilizer for plants growing. Plants themselves consume nutrients, and helps to purify the water for fish life, so it is a natural microbial process that makes the fish and the plants remain sehatsehat. This creates a sustainable ecosystem where both plants and fish can thrive. Hydroponic growing systems of plants in a solution of water and nutrients, without soil. The solution can be prepared by adding the necessary elements of plants in water, which is absorbed directly into the plant roots. In some hydroponic systems the roots are in a growing medium that keeps them moist, aerated and the amount of oxygen also helps to support the plant. We admit, models of aquaculture is not entirely optimal as a potential business, but in the future, it is not possible it be a business that can work on a commercial basis, because by combining aquaponics, farmers hydroponics can eliminate the cost and labor involved in mixing the fertilizer solution and aquaculture commercial possibly can drastically reduce the amount of filtration required in circulation fish farming.
